Help us

Rape Crisis has one fundamental aim - to provide a free and confidential support service to women and girls who have experienced sexual violence. Can you help?

There are lots of ways that you can support us depending on your abilities and time available. We depend on individuals coming up with great ideas to hold fundraising events and think of new ways to raise awareness of our work.

There is a range of volunteering opportunities too. If you have a few hours free each month and skills in alternative therapies or art therapies that you can donate to our service users we will provide you with a room in our centre. In some cases we can accept some students on placements for therapies or counselling. You can also help out with organising our campaigns.

If you have more time and want to learn a valuable range of skills you could consider training to be a volunteer on our helpline services.

You can also help us by showing your support in turning out at one of our campaign events. We have a ‘Reclaim the night’ event in November to mark the 16 days of action for the elimination of violence against women and your presence is what makes it such a powerful annual event.

You can donate funds raised through Just Giving and gift aid. You could also give us a one off payment via Paypal or set up a direct debit to give us a little each month that you can afford.

You can also follow us on Facebook and Twitter, and show your support by sharing and re-tweeting the information we put out about what’s happening around gender based violence. This is invaluable to us because, not only does it empower women, it also raises our profile and enables us to reach people we wouldn’t normally be able to speak to.
